A 7-day futures practice plan
- Days 1–2: open 1x longs and shorts; watch P&L move with price.
- Day 3: compare liquidation prices at 3x and 5x.
- Day 4: attach TP/SL to every order.
- Day 5: deliberately get liquidated on a tiny high-leverage position to see how it happens.
- Days 6–7: journal every trade and spot the impulsive ones.
If you keep getting liquidated in demo mode, stay away from live futures.
How to reset demo funds
With no open orders or positions, tap “Reset” on the demo assets page to restore the starting balance. Cancel orders and close positions first, and screenshot anything you want to review. Demo funds can’t be withdrawn or moved to your live account.
Demo vs live: three limits
- No real emotions: losing fake money doesn’t hurt; real losses cause panic decisions.
- Idealized fills: live market orders can slip.
